Spotlighting Grieve Out Loud

I wanted to spotlight another group that is new to me, but looks like they are doing a great service. Grieve Out Loud was started by a group of parents that had multiple types of losses including the loss of a child, infant, stillbirth, & miscarriage. They have started a pen-pal program to help those in the depths of their grief connect with someone else who has walked in similar shoes. I think this program sounds wonderful and I'm sure it has helped so many people over the years. Head on over to Grieve Out Loud and check out what they have to offer!

The information below is taken from the Grieve Out Loud Information page.

Grieve Out Loud was started in January 2010 by a group of parents who understand the pain of losing a baby and are passionate about helping others in their own grieving process. Our stories are different, yet they are the same in that our children have been separated from us through the cruelty of death.
As we began to wade through the raging sea of grief, we all realized how difficult it can be to find resources after the loss of a baby. Many places do exist to assist in the healing process, but they can be scattered and difficult to find, especially for someone who is overcome with sadness. Our desire is to create one place where the bereaved can find everything they need as they cope with their loss, including memorial items, care packages, loss book reviews, loss support through our Pen-Pal Program, as well as a extensive resource page of other web resources that exist for the purpose of assisting you in your healing and keeping your baby’s memory alive.
We are sorry that you have found us, but invite you to walk with us in your journey. Share your story. Express your pain. Grieve out loud.
Here is more information on their pen-pal program.....

This is no time to be alone. Our Pen-Pal Program is designed to link you and a fellow baby loss mother, father or grandparent together. Grieve Out Loud has many wonderful team members who have all suffered pregnancy and infant loss. We understand, and are here to help.
We also understand that publicly sharing the details surrounding your pregnancy or infant loss can be difficult. We extend our gentle hand to yours in hopes that our one-on-one exchanges who truly understand your pain will help. Your stories stay confidential and none of your personal information will be shared. We want everyone to feel welcomed and safe with us.
To begin the networking process please send us an e-mail to Please include your name, e-mail, mailing address and a brief description of your loss.
If you are a friend or family member who is trying to find help for someone who has suffered a loss, we offer the First Step Program where we will contact them for you. Simply leave their name, e-mail address and type of loss with us and we will take it from there.
We look forward to hearing from you!
