The Lord is my light

I was recently asked how I have been able to handle the loss of our daughter.  My answer is simple......

my faith.

I believe that families are eternal and I will one day hold my daughter in my arms again.

I recently took this picture in Oregon and to me it embodies faith.

What has carried you?

If you would like a copy of the picture with your angel's name where my copyright symbol is located please email me by 6/17/12.  I will personalize a copy for you and place your angel's name on the print for free.  I will only be able to take requests until the listed date and you must have it personalized.  Print sizes may vary.  I've successfully printed a 5x7 but it may differ based on your printing lab.  Realize that coloring may vary based on your monitor or your printing lab.  Be aware, the file is large.

Much Love,

I happened to come across your website today because I was looking for graphics for my dedication site in honor of my beloved angel in heaven. My beautiful little girl contracted E. coli in July of 2008. What started out as what we thought was a simple case of diarrhea turned out to be the worst form of E. coli a person could get. In only 16 days it did enough damage that my husband and I made the hardest decision of our lives when we decided to take her off life support on July 16, 2008. She was 8 1/2 years old at the time. She would have been 13 now. I just passed our 5 year mark for her being gone last month. It's hard to believe sometimes that it has been this long already and yet sometimes it can still feel like yesterday. I created a dedication website in honor of her called It is where I can write through my grief journey and talk about my grief as well as my daughter so her memory continues on. I also post pictures, videos, and anything else I can find to honor her. I found your graphic on the side and have added it to her site as I think you have a valuable resource here. If you would like to get in contact with me, you can find my info on her site.

Right now I'm in the process of writing a memoir about our experience of what happened in the hospital those 16 days. I want it to be something for people to see that even in the greatest of tragedies you will come out and be okay in the end.

I know there will be many difficulties and challenges but I am determined to do it. If it does not succeed then it will be a lesson for me as well
