Losing an Only Child

I wanted to share with you a resource for those that have lost their only child.  The site is called Alive Alone.

Alive Alone is an organization for the education and charitable purposes to benefit bereaved parents, whose only child or all children are deceased, by providing a self-help network and publications to promote communication and healing, to assist in resolving their grief, and a means to reinvest their lives for a positive future.

You can read the history and story behind how this organization started.  They also have a newsletter that they publish bimonthly for $20 or there are a few newsletter excerpts from the newsletter on their website as well.

Alive Alone is holding a workshop for all parents that have lost their only child during the National Compassionate Friends Conference in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota July 15-17, 2011.  For more information about Alive Alone visit their website.
